Describing the weather

The weather is always a good topic of conversation. Here you learn how to talk about the weather.

Here are four very useful phrases to describe what the weather is doing:

Tha an t-uisge annIt's rainingIt's raining
Tha an sneachd annIt's snowingIt's snowing
Tha latha math annIt's a nice dayIt's a nice day

Another way to talk about the weather is to say:

Tha an t-sìde ...The weather is ...

or

Tha i ... an-diughIt is ... today

or

Nach eil i ... an-diugh?Isn't it ... today?

Nach eil means isn't.
